Registration Procedure

1. Send us e-mail with the following information and subject line of ‘Registration for (your language choice).’ If you want to take more than one language, please send in separate messages.

1) Select one from these 4 categories:
student/instructor/conversation student/conversation instructor
2) Name
3) E-mail address
4) Phone number
5) Language and level (basic-1/basic-2/intermediate/advanced)
Basic-1: I don’t know anything about the language.
Basic-2: I know some phrases and grammar. etc
Intermediate: I’ve been leaning a few years. etc
Advanced: I already know a lot of words/phrases and my
grammar is fine. I’d like to improve my conversation skill.
6) 3 date and time preferences
E.g. 1st choice - Monday after 6 p.m.
2nd choice - Thursday afternoon
3rd choice - Tuesday evening

2. Your instructor will send you class schedule within a few weeks. If we don’t have an instructor for your preference, we will notify you.

Payment Method

We only collect dues from students who wants to continue taking the courses after the 3rd week of class. Payment due is before the 4th week of your class.

Please make a payment at the Student Organization Finance Center located on the 2nd floor of the Memorial Student Center. Fill out a Deposit Ticket with following information:

Name of Organization: TAMU-LLI

SOFC Account#: 948730

Write the amount in ‘Dues’

(They accept cash and check.)

After you pay, write down your language near the payment date and leave the original receipt in our mailbox inside the SOFC. The mailbox number is same as the SOFC account number. Please make a copy for your future reference.

Registration Q&A

BEFORE registration:

What language do you have?

You can choose any language you want, but we may not find a

teacher for this semester. Please check our class schedule page and

you will find languages offered before.

AFTER registration:

I got e-mail from my teacher and the class schedule doesn’t work for me. What should I do?

Unfortunately we can do nothing about the class schedule because

teachers decide based on what a majority of students prefers. You

can take other language(s) if you want.

I haven’t got the schedule yet. Did I register correctly?
